Although there is a lot of work going on by policy makers and educators to remove barriers and encourage women to work and study in STEM fields, it is also important to realise more efforts have to be made, but at earlier stages, much earlier.
That is in the way we raise our girls from a young age, since research suggests that science achievement gaps emerge by kindergarten and these gaps continue until at least the end of eighth grade. So what can we do to change that? How can we raise our daughters differently to encourage STEM?
